About The Position

As the financial architect for our fastest-growing region, you will partner directly with the Regional General Manager to scale Grid Automation in North America. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial strategy and drive profitable growth during a critical period of the global energy transition. The Regional CFO will be accountable for managing the full income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet for the region. The position reports to the Global Business CFO and functionally to the Regional General Manager. The role supports all activities across the entire commercial and project lifecycle—from initial sales pipeline and underwriting to project execution and cash collection. The scope includes product, project execution, and services. Electrification is a profitable business with approximately $10B revenue, and the fastest-growing segment within GE Vernova. Grid Automation is a $1B+ revenue business line of the Electrification segment, and its North America region is approximately $0.3B revenue today. Grid Automation provides advanced hardware, software, and services to modernize, digitalize, and protect the global power grid. North America is the most exciting and fastest-growing region within Grid Automation, with a clear path to greater than $0.5B annual revenue in the next 3-5 years. The Regional CFO will manage all finance resources within the region to support the global business strategy, developing required competencies, processes, and controls covering commercial finance, project/product finance, controllership, FP&A, and cash collection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience, including managing a multi-functional regional finance organization.
  • General understanding of the Grid business and industry.
  • Proven experience working in businesses with multiple operating models (projects, products, and services).
  • Established analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Ownership: Maintain full accountability for the regional P&L, balance sheet, and free cash flow.
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the primary business partner to the Regional General Manager to execute overarching strategy and deliver top-line profitable growth.
  • Commercial Rigor: Drive pricing, costing, and commercial underwriting strategies to secure highly profitable orders.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimize structural costs, manage capital allocation, and execute working capital improvements (including receivables, inventory, and progress/deferred management).
  • Planning & Analysis: Lead all financial planning cycles, from the 3-year long-term strategy and annual budgets to quarterly and monthly forecasts.
  • Controllership & Compliance: Standardize financial processes across sites, eliminate waste, and ensure a rigorous controllership environment to minimize business risk.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional finance team while building a robust talent pipeline.
