About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nail Technician to join our team. As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nail care services to our clients. This includes performing manicures, pedicures, and other nail treatments. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional nail care services.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current and active Nail Technician License for the State of Montana.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.
  • Broad knowledge of various nail care techniques and trends.
  • Ability to develop a plan of action for client’s care.
  • Ability to use computers, tablets, and databases for the purpose of scheduling, billing, and similar activities.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience as a nail technician in a spa or similar treatment center.
  • Prior successful employment with the Stock Farm Club or private club.
  • Knowledge of gym or fitness center operations desired.
  • Foundational skills in the use of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality nail treatments and services that meet the needs of each individual client.
  • Arrives at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled services, or earlier as needed for proper preparation and setup.
  • Prepares treatment room for scheduled appointments prior to the start time of appointment.
  • Greets members and guests by name, in a warm, courteous and professional manner; accompanies clients to and from treatment rooms and thanks them upon departure.
  • Interviews clients to obtain information about the services they would like; examines client’s nails to evaluate the suitability of services; assists clients with selecting appropriate nail colors or designs.
  • Performs manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, and polish application.
  • Provides hand and foot massages during treatments.
  • Performs nail repairs as needed.
  • Engages with clients during sessions on topics related to their interests.
  • Provides excellent customer service; addresses problems; troubleshoots and addresses client concerns and requests.
  • Maintains treatment records for each client; completes necessary information to invoice for services provided.
  • Keeps treatment room clean and tidy; sanitizes tools and equipment after each use to maintain a clean and safe work environment; vacuums and mops floors daily.
  • Transports soiled laundry to onsite laundry facility as needed during shift, and at a minimum at the end of each shift.
  • Fills out CHIT’s (paperwork with the member/guest client information, date, service, treatment provider, and total charges) after each appointment or at the end of the day and gives to Fitness Centre Manager or Director of Member Services.
  • Answers phone calls and responds to email requests from members, guests, and Club staff regarding services and scheduling.
  • Adheres to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring master appointment schedule, respond in the manner prescribed to all scheduling requests and requirements sent by the Fitness Centre to ensure all client reservations are supported.
  • Communicates professionally with attention to detail, to colleagues, service providers and members.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
