About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-minded Duct Cleaning Technician to perform air duct and HVAC system cleanings in accordance with NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining indoor air quality through proper system remediation practices. Working as part of our Indoor Air Quality team, this technician will ensure that all cleaning and sanitization processes meet or exceed NADCA ACR and OSHA safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of HVAC, maintenance, or facility service experience preferred (will train the right candidate).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, or confined areas.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
  • Willingness to pursue NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) or Ventilation Maintenance Technician (VMT) certification within 12 months of hire (company-sponsored).

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders and system history using ServiceTitan prior to dispatch.
  • Conduct on-site assessments of duct systems, air handlers, and associated HVAC components.
  • Prepare the work area by installing drop cloths, access panels, and containment barriers.
  • Operate negative air machines, rotary brushes, and high-powered vacuums in compliance with NADCA cleaning protocols.
  • Measure static pressure, blower amps, and airflow readings before and after cleaning.
  • Clean and sanitize air ducts, plenums, registers, coils, drain pans, and blower assemblies.
  • Replace or clean permanent air filters and install high-efficiency filtration products as needed.
  • Assist with minor duct repair and sealing using UL-approved mastic and tape.
  • Maintain accurate job notes, before-and-after photos, and service documentation in ServiceTitan.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding findings, recommendations, and system maintenance.
  • Follow strict safety procedures and proper PPE usage as outlined in NADCA and OSHA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development, including NADCA certification coursework.
