Job Summary: Yellowstone's musicians have the unique opportunity to play music in some of the most historic and iconic buildings in the United States. Millions of visitors every year enjoy listening to performances while relaxing after a long day of travel, enjoying an evening cocktail, watching a sunset, socializing with friends and family, or waiting for their dinner reservations. Requirements
- Knowledgeable of performance selections
- Advanced knowledge of musical instrument(s)
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasing manner
- Ability to maintain and adjust audio equipment and instruments used in performance
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- If working at Roosevelt, musical talent which includes both voice and instrument skills is required, entertainment experience is preferred, and must be capable of performing one- and one-half hours' worth of appropriate western type music
- Must be capable of sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Responsibilities
- Perform all duties towards the goal of maximizing guest service and enjoyment
- Maintain a professional appearance while on duty
- Select and perform music that is appropriate for the venue
- Perform at acceptable volume levels with sensitivity to guests
- Provide appropriate instrument(s) used in the performance. Pianos are provided by Xanterra.
- Be flexible, sensitive, and responsive to guest requests and comments
- Be prompt and timely with all scheduling of performances and breaks
- Adhere to Xanterra established policy of no gratuity solicitation
