Job Summary: Develops and implements music therapy treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Music Therapy or related field
  • No experience required
  • Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
  • State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
  • Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC) - Certification Board of Music Therapists (CBMT)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts patient assessments and establishes music therapy treatment goals.
  • Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of music therapy interventions.
  • Coordinates therapeutic music activities for both large and small groups.
  • Observes patient response and encourages socialization.
  • Provides patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic music activities in the community.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
