St. Croix Hospice is looking for a compassionate Music therapist who values meaningful patient connections and autonomy in their practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT) OR National Music Therapy Registry OR American Music Therapy Association OR another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists
- Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test
Responsibilities
- Provide music therapy per plan of care
- Assess patients and determine effectiveness
- Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort
- Use techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review
- Document sessions promptly
- Educate team
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement
