About The Position

The Music Therapist will provide services for The Therapy Center of PASCO. Sessions will take place at our Greenwood Village and/or Lakewood offices and may also take place via telehealth. The Music Therapist will be responsible for providing music therapy treatment services in a professional and qualified manner. The Music Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining all required certification, education, and supervision required by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). This position reports to the Therapy Center Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Music Therapy.
Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) designation.
One (1) year experience providing therapeutic music services to children.
Active driver’s license.
Evening availability.
Experience working with clients with terminal or chronic illnesses and/or developmental disabilities.
Ability to write reports identifying patient goals, outcomes and interventions.

Responsibilities

Provides individual and group music therapy to clients.
Schedules client assessments and music therapy sessions.
Evaluates client capabilities and develops a treatment plan of music interventions adapted to the needs, interests, abilities and medical history of clients.
Plans and implements appropriate, evidence-based music therapy interventions for helping clients meet interventions for helping clients meet individual goals and objectives
Establishes therapeutic goals for individuals and plans programs to meet these goals.
Evaluates client progress toward established goals annually/biannually.
Maintains clinical notes and records.
Works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support client’s goals inside and outside of music therapy sessions.
Facilitates music therapy groups for clients and their families.
Complies with all State and agency policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
