The Music Therapist assesses development and needs of the patient to facilitate music therapy interventions. Addresses physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals in 1-1 and group settings. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to meet patient goals. Develops individualized treatment plans based on the assessment of the individual. Facilitates music interventions using singing, creating, moving to, playing to, and/or listening to music to address individualized plans of care. Observes patients’ reactions to various interventions and adapts interventions and plans of care based on patient response and progress. Documents and tracks progress toward patients’ individualized goals.
