In this role, you’ll design and lead innovative therapeutic music interventions tailored to support children and families navigating medical challenges. You’ll create engaging programs that inspire, educate, and provide comfort while championing family-centered care. As a music therapist you’ll manage a diverse and complex caseload all while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. Music Therapy provides therapeutic music interventions for hospitalized children, assessing their emotional, developmental, and educational needs to help them feel supported and empowered throughout their medical experiences. Thoughtfully develops, plans, and implements music therapy programs that bring comfort and joy, grounded in family-centered care principles. Listens deeply, documents each session with care, and responds to each child's unique needs, fostering warm and trusting connections with patients and their families. Collaborates with management to ensure all resources and guidance are aligned for the best possible therapeutic outcomes. Communicates effectively by clarifying treatment goals, speaking confidently about therapeutic plans, and documenting progress clearly. Adapts quickly to changing priorities and remains calm under pressure, taking initiative to meet high standards of care and therapeutic goals. Supports psychosocial and child life objectives through structured music therapy interventions, effectively coordinating with other clinical teams. Contributes to quality improvement efforts by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices, promoting continuous improvement within the music therapy program.
