About The Position

Join a team dedicated to every student’s success. As the Music Teacher, you will develop and lead a comprehensive music program within the Primary School Division. You will provide instruction to students in grades 1 – 4, nurturing their musical skills while fostering musical literacy, appreciation, and active engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in music, Music Education, or related field
• Experience teaching music to elementary-aged children
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments, preferably piano, and knowledge of music theory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage young learners

Nice To Haves

• Teaching certification in elementary or music education
• Master's degree in related field

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the school's educational mission
• Design engaging lessons that encourage active participation
• Conduct music classes, including singing, instrument playing, and music appreciation
• Prepare students for performances, including chapels, school events, and community outreach
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to enhance musical development
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music with other subjects
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Stay updated with current educational trends and music pedagogy.
