Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Must be endorsed in music. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required. Experience working with diverse student population Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge. Experience implementing best practices in General music Instruction. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community members. Prepare students for school, pyramid and outside performance opportunities. Participate in pyramid festival yearly for feeder schools. Provide effective communications between and among school staff, Arts Education Supervisor, students, parents and community. Flexible, dependable, and highly organized. Desire to work with diverse community of learners. Work effectively with fine arts team. Effectively maintain music website. Provide outreach opportunities to grow quality program. Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others and meet timelines. Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills. Must provide minimum of 2 school based performances. Must attend county wide Arts Education professional development. Provide choral pullout program to grade 4/5 students. Stay current with arts related technology and best practices. Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule
