About The Position

Provide support in the music technology area. Student assistants will assist in establish inventory systems, develop checkout procedures, coordinate equipment maintenance, and assist with technical setup for instructional spaces including the black box theater and recital hall. This work directly supports laboratory experiences and hands-on learning that are integral to the music technology curriculum. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, duties include but not limited to: - Assist in creating a comprehensive inventory of music technology equipment used for instructional purposes (recording equipment, MIDI controllers, synthesis equipment, performance technology) - Assist in developing a document equipment checkout procedures and tracking systems - Assist in coordinating the equipment maintenance and repair logistics - Assist with installation and configuration of audio/video systems in instructional performance spaces - Support faculty and students with equipment access and technical setup for instructionally related activities

Requirements

  • Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student.
  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Social Security Card
