About The Position

MUSE Coordinator/Cardiology Tech provides technical support for Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS), Hospitals, regional centers and outreach facilities in the electrocardiographic field and the MUSE system. MUSE Coordinator/Cardiology Tech assists the Cardiology Services Managers in maintaining and updating all testing equipment and train, plan, implement and evaluate departmental procedures, problems and projects related to the MUSE/EKG system. MUSE Coordinator/Cardiology Tech is responsible for training MCHS, hospitals, regional centers and outreach facilities in the MUSE/EKG system, along with training providers on interpreting electronically via the MUSE system. MUSE Coordinator/Cardiology Tech is also responsible for obtaining accurate and reliable Electrocardiograms (EKG) and arrhythmia testing for interpretation.

Requirements

  • Three years of progressive training in a health related field.
  • Must be willing to advance knowledge of technical skills as well as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, EKG waveform recognition and arrhythmia detection as the field of cardiology progresses.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Cardiovascular Credential Institute (CCI) certification by a national agency within two years of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in an allied health program.
  • Management experience.
  • Five years’ experience in health related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
  • Cardiovascular Credential Institute (CCI) certification by a national agency at time of hire.

Responsibilities
