About The Position

Borough of Tenafly-Municipal Pool is looking for certified summer lifeguards from
May 24 th (Memorial Day) to September 1st (Labor Day) for our new Municipal Pool
located in Tenafly, NJ.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• Certified Lifeguard
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Fingerprints and background checks are required

Nice To Haves

• Swim Instructor certification

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool occupancy
• Check in guests and verify pool passes
• Address pool violations and violators
• Administer swim lessons
• Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area and identify any safety issues
• Administer first aid in the event of injury or emergency
• Rescue swimmers in distress or danger of drowning
• Administer CPR, if necessary
