About The Position

The Multispecialty Office Supervisor directly manages the daily operations and staff of each practicing medical program at a given location(s). The Supervisor coordinates appropriate staff coverage optimizing facility occupancy to create an ideal patient and customer experience. The supervisor coordinates recruitment of Client Service Representatives and Medical Assistants across the various medical specialties and manages the team to work in concert cross covering to ensure a higher level of staff engagement. The supervisor orients, trains and evaluates the staff and is responsible for both staff recognition and any necessary disciplinary actions including proper documentation. The Medical Practice Office Supervisor provides administrative and clerical support to the department managers and director with various functional responsibilities and assists with direct program operations as required. The Medical Office Supervisor assists the various specialties through the development, implementation and adherence to office procedures and processes that support optimal patient care in a multidisciplinary setting. The Medical Office Supervisor directs the work activities of the all program personnel. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years secretarial experience required or combined medical office and medical billing experience required, preferably within a multi-functional office.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency with computer applications required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or transcription may be required within some medical departments.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or specialized secretarial training or medical office billing training preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
