The centerpiece of Killens Pond State Park, conveniently located in central Delaware, is the 66-acre millpond, which was established in the late 1700s. Before the pond was created, the Murderkill River and surrounding hardwood forest were sites of several Native American homes and hunting camps. Killens Pond became a state park in 1965. A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Killens Pond State Park: Park Maintenance ( $15.00 ) - responsible for the assisting maintenance staff with all aspects of maintaining the park grounds and its facilities. Park Administrative Support ( $15.00 ) - position will sell park permits, provide customer service by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding areas. Waterpark Revenue Attendant ( $15.00 ) - responsible for all aspects of customer service, filling out start-up and close-out paperwork, completing opening and closing procedures of the fee booth. Work is performed indoors and outdoors, weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs
