About The Position

This position collaborates closely with faculty, SMEs, the information technology team, and the instructional design team to support the effective integration and use of technology for teaching and learning across multiple modalities. Responsible for managing and administering all classroom A/V requirements and provisioning. This student-centric role is responsible for delivering excellent support service to meet the needs of the institution, communicate with faculty and staff, and translate the institution's needs into operational procedures and systems. In addition, this position will be responsible for recording, digitizing, editing, and archiving streaming video files that support online course instruction, as well as providing support for webinars and videoconferencing meetings. This position may assist the Multimedia Instructional Technology Manager or members of the Information Technology team as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac environments
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with audio/visual support
  • Familiarity with cloud storage
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to maintain an excellent level of customer service with faculty, staff, and students
  • Working knowledge of safety equipment: gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Instructional Platform Technology preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Premier Pro (or other video editing software) is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, schedule, maintain, deliver, and set up audio-visual/media equipment across the campus during classes.
  • Assist faculty/staff with the use of A-V/Media equipment and organize and maintain an inventory of media equipment and supplies.
  • Manage video recordings/live streams of various college activities.
  • Manage, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Produce and edit content for faculty presentations at their request.
  • Support faculty/instructor usage of the podcast studio.
  • Record, edit, and upload lectures for courses, both synchronous and asynchronous.
  • Support faculty, staff, or students with video conferencing for all classroom activities.
  • Assist in the Simulation Center as needed. This includes but is not limited to the use of the following systems: iSimulate, Learning Space, manakins, etc.
  • Assist the Multimedia Instructional Technology Manager in updating, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting VR/AR technology.
  • Train faculty and students on the proper use of VR/AR technology.
  • Maintain an excellent level of customer service.
