MSAG is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to serve as a creative and technical contributor supporting all aspects of airport design review and the development and update of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars (ACs), engineering briefs, technical documents, and instructional videos. This is a remote position with opportunities for occasional travel. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong multimedia expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience producing multimedia content such as videos, graphics, and instructional materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects.)
  • Experience with 3D modeling or animation tools (e.g., Blender.)
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, including captioning, metadata, and Section 508 compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and produce multimedia content-including documents, graphics, animations, and videos-to support FAA technical guidance and communication needs.
  • Review and update Advisory Circulars, engineering briefs, and other technical publications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with FAA standards.
  • Partner with engineers, designers, and subject matter experts to translate complex airport and aviation concepts into clear, engaging visual and written materials.
  • Produce high‑quality training and informational videos that comply with FAA guidelines, specifications, and accessibility requirements.
  • Create detailed technical illustrations for airport and heliport design documentation, ensuring full 508 Compliance.
  • Develop accessibility features such as voiceovers, closed captioning, and metadata tagging to enhance usability across all multimedia products.
  • Build user‑focused support materials-including instructional guides, tutorials, and training videos-to improve system usability and knowledge retention.
  • Ensure all multimedia deliverables meet FAA branding, quality, and accessibility standards.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Support AAS‑100 guidance and requirements across assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and product quality.
  • Communicate proactively using the appropriate format and channel for the audience and context.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
