About The Position

WIFR Channel 23 in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking a Multimedia Sales Manager to join our team. As a Multimedia Sales Manager, you will work with sales staff in developing and executing multi-platform campaigns and facilitating growth and revenue for digital media. This includes developing proposals, pricing, and packaging for Media Executives, as well as managing digital inventory and maintaining metrics and reports. You must have excellent communication skills, a strong sales record, and thrive in the fast-paced television environment.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous management experience and ability to lead a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have exceptional time management skills.
  • Must be able to adapt to the market.
  • Must have exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth to achieve revenue targets with a focus on new digital and local direct business
  • Provide digital and linear training to the sales team.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with potential and existing accounts.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining budgets and quota goals.
  • Assist with overseeing the sales team, assisting with presenting and closing business.
  • Work directly with the Local Sales Manager.
  • Ensure proper development of new and existing accounts.
  • Working at a partnership/consultative level as an expert in digital advertising with a Multimedia Executive and advertisers.
  • Create and implement new strategies to develop new business.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Effectively handle scheduling problems in a timely manner, make goods, and provide general follow-through with clients.
  • Maintain and continually improve knowledge of effective marketing principles.
  • Make regular contributions to the sales team through research and participation in sales meetings.
  • Professionally represent and support the station, both in policy and demeanor.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.
