About The Position

NCC is looking for candidates for to produce, direct, write, and edit a variety of high-profile videos, docuseries, and other enterprise programs (primarily long-form) across multiple platforms, ensuring factual integrity, dynamic storytelling, and enhanced production value to support the learning needs of one of our clients.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Video Producer in a broadcast, corporate, or government setting (or equivalent high-end media facility)
  • Proven track record of creating engaging, high-quality, long-form content using dynamic storytelling and cinematic techniques
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders and supervising multi-part projects, often under tight deadlines and budgets
  • Experience managing and directing media production staff and field crews
  • Excellent research, scriptwriting, and program development skills, strong story sense, and creative vision
  • Extensive experience researching stock media and producing archive-based programs
  • Strong background interviewing and directing talent (professional and nonprofessional) in the field, studio, and narration booth
  • Experience editing and mastering high-profile, complex videos using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications and digital media platforms
  • Working knowledge of still photography, motion graphics and animation creation
  • Working knowledge of remote and studio video cameras, lighting, and sound equipment
  • Interest in international affairs, global cultures, and the U.S. State Department mission and history
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures (in person and virtually)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Section 508 compliance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facets of production from conception through completion, in a multicultural, multi-lingual setting, working both independently and as team leader
  • Collaborate with client officials, educators, historians, and public affairs staff to establish program objectives, target audience, optimal media format, creative approach, and content
  • Develop and monitor production schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client reviews
  • Supervise and provide creative direction for internal production team and technical personnel
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with stakeholders to craft program outlines and treatments
  • Collaborate with graphic artists and animators to create storyboards and design program graphics
  • Organize and shape raw content into accessible, media-friendly material
  • Research, develop, write, and edit original program scripts
  • Arrange and conduct video interviews with Foreign Service officers, educators, historians, and staff
  • Scout, schedule, direct field and studio shoots
  • Audition and direct professional and non-professional talent on-camera and in narration sessions
  • Perform extensive stock and archive media research to find and purchase appropriate visuals, music, and sound effects to augment storytelling
  • Perform all aspects of digital video editing and finishing with Premiere Pro software including motion graphics creation, color correction, music selection, sound design, mixing, and mastering
  • Facilitate final program presentation and delivery ensuring finished product meets or exceeds client goals
  • Assist with hands-on studio, field, and live event filming using DSLR cameras as needed
