About The Position

Founded in 2010, the Center for Educational Technologies is located at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University . Its mission is to partner with subject matter experts to blend research-based practices in student-­‐centered learning with innovative technologies to create uniquely interactive learning experiences. The CET has experience successfully supporting over $8 million of competitive grants, industry contacts, and USDA cooperative agreements. To date, the CET team has collaborated with 44 subject matter experts to develop over 250 learning resources in support of student education and continuing education. These resources are distributed via the CET’s web-based learning management system, serving approximately 5,000 veterinary students annually at 10 veterinary colleges across the United States and Canada. The CET also has extensive experience developing curricula, including the veterinary curriculum at TAMU and partnering with the United States Department of Agriculture on a variety of education and community outreach projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of related experience in photography, graphic design, marketing, web development, or multimedia production.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Content Production: Prepares and provides multimedia and print based materials. Produces, records, directs, publishes, and edits promotional, commercial, and/or news videos. Designs and constructs lighting arrangements for studio and location video productions. Designs and constructs set pieces and props for studio productions. Sets up and operates cameras, lighting units, microphones, and other equipment for field production. Performs video post-production tasks including logging footage, creating rough cuts, and revised and final versions of video clips.
  • Project Management: Plans, develops, supervises, and participates in projects. Provides input to policies, rules, and regulations. Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules work assignments and projects. Conceptualizes and coordinates content and design services. Supports development and production of visualization projects and makes technical recommendations. Maintains University image identity standards.
  • Asset Management: Maintains and organizes all video assets. Assists with archiving footage. Evaluates products and services for quality standards. Remains knowledgeable about video editing software, studio technology, and production equipment.
  • Videography Collaboration and Production Coordination: Collaborate and coordinate with external vendors providing advanced videography and multimedia production services. Develop production timelines, communicate creative and technical requirements, review scripts and storyboards, and ensure deliverables meet institutional brand, accessibility, and quality standards. Serve as a liaison between internal project teams and contracted vendors to manage logistics such as scheduling, footage transfer, post-production revisions, and file archiving. Ensures all media products are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with project goals and compliance requirements.
