Multimedia Designer (Learning & Development)

ROM TECHNOLOGIES INCClearwater, FL
Onsite

About The Position

ROMTech is redefining post-surgical recovery through innovative, remote rehabilitation technology. As our Multimedia Designer, you will be the creative engine behind our learning ecosystem, transforming raw educational concepts into visually stunning, high-impact digital assets. This is not a role for "template editors"; we are seeking a true creator who can build original visual identities for ROMTech University and the Academy. Sitting within the Training Department, you will work closely with the Senior Instructional Designer and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to bridge the gap between content and high-end creative production. You will be responsible for designing custom themes for e-learning, crafting original illustrations, and producing video content that is both aesthetically superior and fully accessible to all learners.

Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop for original asset creation.
  • Strong video editing skills with the ability to work comfortably within Premiere Pro.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility principles as they apply to digital design, color contrast, and inclusive content.
  • Advanced PowerPoint design skills, specifically in creating master layouts and custom animations for facilitator-led training.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work quickly while managing multiple creative projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance productivity and problem-solve in day-to-day work.
  • Ability to build custom Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) themes rather than using default templates is a significant plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in multimedia design, graphic design, or digital content creation.
  • Proven success building original themes and visual identities from scratch rather than modifying stock assets.
  • Strong portfolio of training assets, original graphics, and course samples.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement accessibility standards in digital assets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in healthcare, MedTech, or SaaS is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop original, high-fidelity visual assets, including video, custom graphics, illustrations, and iconography, to ensure a unique and cohesive brand identity.
  • Architect bespoke themes and master templates within Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Synthesia that move beyond standard stock layouts.
  • Lead end-to-end video production and editing, including the creation.
  • Ensure all multimedia assets are designed in strict accordance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience for all users.
  • Create visually compelling PowerPoint facilitator decks and print-ready training materials that maintain a high standard of professional design.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team and SMEs to translate technical concepts into digestible, visually engaging multimedia formats.
  • Maintain an organized centralized creative asset library for all source files to allow for future updates and version control.
  • Leverage AI-driven creative tools and prompt engineering to continuously elevate the efficiency and quality of ROMTech’s training programs.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure the visual direction of all training materials aligns with broader company branding initiatives.
