About The Position

As a Multimedia Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide strategic visual communications and multimedia support that translates complex telecommunications and public safety information into accessible, engaging, and Section 508-compliant graphics, motion content, and digital products that advance nationwide outreach, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia production, or visual communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Audition.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Section 508-compliant digital and print products, including accessible PDFs, color contrast standards, alt-text, tagging, and captioning.
  • Experience designing for digital platforms, including social media, web, email marketing, and multimedia campaigns.
  • Strong layout and typography skills for long-form publications, reports, fact sheets, and presentation materials.
  • Experience producing motion graphics and short-form video content for public-facing audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, visually engaging products for diverse audiences.
  • Experience maintaining organized source files and working within records management systems (e.g., SharePoint or similar platforms).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality products on deadline and incorporate feedback efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented federal environment.
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting public safety, telecommunications, technology, or national-level programs.
  • Experience developing motion graphics and short-form video content for digital campaigns.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other federal records management systems.
  • Experience supporting executive-level communications or high-visibility events.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality, Section 508-compliant graphics and visual products, including social media graphics, web headers, thumbnails, presentations, reports, fact sheets, brochures, and exhibit materials.
  • Develop and edit short-form motion graphics and video content for digital and social platforms; support captioning and multimedia formatting for public release.
  • Provide layout design for long-form publications and communications products, ensuring consistency with federal branding and style guidelines.
  • Perform advanced photo editing and image optimization in support of communications campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with communications strategists, writers, social media specialists, and subject matter experts to visually support blogs, articles, newsletters, podcasts, events, and strategic campaigns.
  • Participate in weekly content planning meetings and maintain awareness of the communications calendar to proactively develop supporting visual assets.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet federal accessibility standards (Section 508), brand compliance requirements, copyright standards, and Government approval processes.
  • Maintain organized source files and final deliverables within designated records management systems (e.g., SharePoint) and support digital asset management efforts.
  • Monitor visual trends and recommend creative enhancements that strengthen engagement across social and digital platforms.
  • Provide surge support during high-visibility events, public affairs activities, and crisis communications situations, as needed.
  • Deliver products on time, incorporating Government feedback efficiently and minimizing revision cycles
