Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement, the Multimedia and Creative Strategy Coordinator will support in the development of videos that promote Long Beach State Athletic programs. This position will serve as backup to Beach Vision for game day production broadcast.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of full range of production techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and equipment preferred.
  • Strong video shooting and editing skills, good understanding of interviewing/scripting/storytelling, knowledge of content marketing and program marketing.
  • Ability to learn techniques in the development of television, film, or multimedia productions.
  • Ability to use and maintain studio, camera and related equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and six months of related professional or technical experience required.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Valid CA Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Athletics external groups to align with overarching developmental goals.
  • Responsible for technical aspects of video production and post-production.
  • Maintain and organize all drives and archives of video content.
  • Serve as backup to Beach Broadcast team.
