About The Position

Spartans Sports Camp is dedicated to providing an encouraging and positive environment that aids the development of its campers as both children and athletes. In the course of this goal, we intend to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for campers and to provide leadership opportunities for high school and college students. Spartans Sports camp is operated by the Mountain View High School Athletic Department. Since 2012, the camp has raised over $635,000 for MVHS Athletics.

Requirements

• 18 yrs of age or older
• Pass background check.
• Provide references upon request.

Responsibilities

• Participate as directed with an enthusiastic and engaging attitude to maintain Spartans Sports Camp culture
• Supervise Multi-Sport Stations
• Assign counselor duties according to daily plan
• Assist Multi-Sport Director with camp plan
• Coordinate daily schedule with other asst. directors & MS Director
• Assess equipment needs
• Assign daily clean up/break down tasks
• Recruit and hire counselors
• Assist in off-season marketing
• Help promote camp during school year
• Attend ALL training sessions. Employees will be dismissed if they miss trainings without prior approval.
• In-Season Duties: 7-8 week Summer Program June 8 - July 31 (not required to work all weeks). If available April 6-10 Spring Break Camp.
