Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a dynamic position on a rotating shift roster, offering variety and the chance to work with cutting-edge glass manufacturing technology. Requirements

• Previous experience working with a manufacturing environment (preferably glass) and hands on experience operating machines
• A trade background is desirable, however a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
• You will have the ability to work in a challenging environment, hot, dusty and loud!
• Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail
• Hours of work: 5-week rotating roster, days, nights and afternoons

Responsibilities

• Monitor the production of glass bottles in both the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging department
• Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks
• Operate computer production systems and interfaces
• Assist with job changes and associated tasks
• Trouble shoot - assist with general mechanical maintenance & fix minor mechanical problems
• Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team
• Any other ad hoc duties
