Summary: The Multi-Modality Technologist provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Minimally 25% of their time is allocated in practicing a secondary discipline.

- BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Two (2) years' experience in acute care required
- Must possess two registries by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to include: Radiography and CT Scan, or MRI.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
- Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
- Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations
- Performs Diagnostic imaging studies in at least two (2) imaging modalities.
- Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually; reports and responds to changes in status, as appropriate.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
- Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
