The primary responsibility of a multi-modality technologist is to perform a combination of procedures (X-Ray & CT) with related techniques, producing images for interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. This role involves operating equipment and accessories, being knowledgeable in workflows, procedures, and processes of both imaging modalities, and selecting appropriate imaging/sequences based on approved protocols. The technologist must obtain patient's clinical history and lab work, apply safety principles to minimize risk, and provide radiation protection. Key duties also include verifying patient identification, performing venipuncture, and identifying, preparing, and/or administering medications/contrast as prescribed, utilizing a power injector when necessary. The position requires scheduled on-call availability.
