Under the direction of the Service Director and Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes and responding to customer service requests. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned, assisting with the maintenance of storage areas and materials, and performing refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards. The technician will walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments, notify the RE Manager of any safety concerns, and participate in safety meetings. Responsibilities also include knowledge of property-specific problems such as asbestos, assisting in snow removal, maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting appliances, electrical plumbing, and HVAC, and assisting with inventories of supplies. In terms of customer service, the technician must complete all service requests in accordance with company standards and be available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as scheduled.
