As a Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) Specialist, you are responsible for the planning and execution of structured cabling for fiber optic and coaxial systems within MDU environments. This position will route cables through risers, conduits, and utility closets while adhering to local codes, safety standards, and company specifications. You will work in Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) complexes, including residential apartment buildings, condominiums, mixed-use facilities, and commercial complexes.   • Telecommunications installation/wiring experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install customer equipment for ImOn Services.
  • Install and configure splitters, amplifiers, network cabinets, Multi-Service Terminals (MSTs), and ONTs as required to support high-quality broadband delivery.
  • Measure and evaluate signal strength using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and analyze cable lines and transmission equipment to identify faults or performance issues
  • Access service areas, this could include but not limited to climbing ladders, poles, or entering crawl spaces to string lines, install terminal boxes, or place auxiliary devices.
  • Communicate effectively with customers during on-site visits, explaining services and resolving issues.
  • Plan and execute structured cabling for fiber optic and coaxial systems within MDU environments.
  • Route cables through risers, conduits, and utility closets while adhering to local codes, safety standards, and company specifications.
  • Collaborate with property managers, construction teams, and other contractors to ensure installation work is scheduled, documented, and completed with minimal disruption to residents or tenants.
  • Accurately document cabling routes, termination points, and installed equipment. Maintain clear and organized labeling of all connections for future maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including the use of PPE, ladder and confined space protocols, and lockout/tagout where applicable.
  • Perform installations for both residential and commercial tenants within the same MDU when applicable, ensuring consistent service quality and adherence to both operational standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.
