The Multi-Craft Maintenance Engineer reports directly to the Maintenance Manager in supporting different equipment during the workday including mechanical, electrical and welding equipment. This engineer uses their knowledge to help solve problems and are a valuable member of the organization who plays an important role in making sure equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical background and aptitude
• Mult-Craft Experience – electrical and maintenance understanding ideal
• Can create mechanical layouts and drawings
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Safety Oriented policy and procedures understanding
• Team Player who Collaborates well with others
• Ability to be hands on
• Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering Desired)

Responsibilities

• Providing safe and timely preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing plant type of environment
• Understands and follows safety policies and procedures.
• Performs all tasks safely and does not take risks.
• Additionally, identifies safety risks and works to reduce them.
• Creates mechanical layouts and drawings to help in preventative/predictive maintenance tasks to eliminate equipment breakdowns and failures
• Communicates effectively with operations personnel to identify and resolve abnormal/degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality, or productivity.
• Hands on in, troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and maintains equipment and machinery used
• Installs/troubleshoots/repairs hydraulic and pneumatic actuators
• Rebuilds various parts/equipment
