Job Summary The Multi-Care Technician III (MCT III) is an advanced support role within the patient care team. This position requires prior experience and advanced training, including patient care, clerical functions, EKG performance, and continuous monitoring as a Monitor Tech. MCT IIIs perform independently under RN supervision and may assist with training. Essential Functions Provide patient care and support with minimal supervision Conduct vital sign checks, blood glucose monitoring, and intake/output recording Assist with hygiene, ambulation, nutrition, and comfort care Perform and monitor EKGs and telemetry rhythms Maintain supply inventory and organized work areas Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and patients Demonstrate critical thinking and patient-centered care Maintain clinical documentation and accurate records Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Ability to lift/move patients and equipment Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Registered, Certified or Licensed in the state of practice as a CNA, PCT, CMA, or EMT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
  • One year experience as MCT II or three years of CNA/PCT/CMA or EMT experience in a hospital setting (Required)
  • Successful completion of Monitor Tech Course (Required)
  • Ability to lift/move patients and equipment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • Certified EKG Technician (Preferred)
