MTS SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a specialized Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about contributing towards AI SW ROCm Documentation initiatives, responsible for creating and maintaining technical content that supports developers and end-users. This role involves building new documentation, maintaining existing programming guides, and developing code samples to accelerate adoption of ROCm across AI, HPC, and enterprise workloads. THE PERSON: An experienced professional with strong technical expertise across C, C++, CUDA, OpenCL, and HIP with a passion to contribute to developer-facing ROCm AI SW documentation. This individual to be an innovative, problem-solving mindset with exceptional collaboration skills to work across diverse engineering teams, ensuring ROCm documentation meets the needs of developers, researchers, and enterprise customers.
Requirements
- Min 5 yrs of experience with writing API programming/user guides, Code example, Tutorials for ROCm software/Ecosystems
- Excellent knowledge & hands-on experience in programming for AMD GPU architecture with ROCm SW eco system
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C++, CUDA, OpenCL, and HIP
- Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, Operating Systems concepts, and multithread programming
- Excellent design and code development skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Solid understanding of ROCm documentations (open source) & Contributions to ROCm docs (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the Design & Development of ROCm SW documentation, API programming, User guides, ROCm examples, tutorials, HIP reference materials and HPC performance guides using AMD’s Docs as Code strategy
- Support in Framework specific release documentation content generation on AMD GPUs with ROCm AI SW & publication on time to support/increase developers/community adaptations
- Perform technical analysis, design, develop/ execute the DOCs strategies (as a GPU SW programmer / Developer / Automation Engineer/ Technical writer)
- Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects
- Contribute to a high-functioning ROCm Core documentation, Community support & development teams
- Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support
- Contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system
- Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results
