Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex Junction, Vermont is looking for a motivated and experienced engineer to be a part of the exciting Customer Engineering team. The primary responsibility in this role would be to partner with customers to plan and execute build of their new products, align client requirements internally, be a client advocate within the Fab, run customer meetings where multiple technical items are discussed, and support resolution of all customer issues.

Requirements

  • 4 Year Technical / bachelor’s degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training or work experience
  • minimum 3 Years Experience in Manufacturing or Customer Facing Engineering Role
  • Language Fluency – English –both written and verbal
  • Strong Teamwork
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
  • Ability to travel ~10%

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Masters or PhD Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing
  • 4-7 Years Experience in Manufacturing or Customer Facing Engineering Role

Responsibilities

  • Perform as technical conduit for customer programs from customer prototyping (NPI) to product end of life
  • Act as primary engineering channel ensuring crisp & clear communication
  • Be the focal point for customer communication to the Fab, aligning messaging internally and then sharing externally with the customer
  • Work with the Fab 9 Production Control, Planning and Product Integration teams to track internal dates and On Time Delivery metrics
  • Lead and facilitate customer meetings, ensuring action items are aligned and followed up on
  • Problem-solve any and all issues that arise
  • Train other team members as appropriate
  • Interface and collaborate with Account Managers (AM), Field Application Engineering (FAE) and Customers to enable program success
  • Achieve revenue goals and derive customer satisfaction
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor
