About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Front Office and Graphic Design Assistant provides support to the M.S. Instructional Design and Technology program and to the staff, faculty, and students. Under the supervision of the program director and program coordinator, the student assistant duties include, but are not limited to: Provide assistance and customer service to students, faculty, and staff Assist with general office duties (e.g. filing, copying, scanning, delivering campus correspondence, etc.) Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional, appropriate manner with accurate information Assist staff with creating and work on spreadsheets, databases, and other documents using Microsoft Office Suite Assist with basic student-centered social media outreach to the campus and beyond Use various print and electronic media to develop outreach & retention materials Assist staff and faculty with special projects, specifically graphic design-related projects. Assist with the Boot Up Orientation, Midpoint Symposium, workshops, and other in-person events as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Follow oral instructions
  • Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
  • Communicate effectively with all levels
  • Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
