Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine The Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) group is looking for a post-doctoral scientist to join the Emerging Technologies team to implement innovative solutions to improve manufacturing. Our team innovates processes to improve reliability and yield and implements process analytical technology (PAT) sensors and machine learning modeling to support next-generation manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. Support for biopharmaceuticals require fresh thinking to support real time measurements for product quality attributes through the use of PAT. PAT is a key enabler of process intensification, advanced process control (APC) and real time release testing (RTRt) initiatives for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The candidate will design research around novel PAT and data analytics technology on a development scale to support commercial scale implementation. Although we support all therapeutic platforms, a focus in our large molecule drug substance and drug product are prioritized critical initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for design and execution of lab-scale protocols to develop the technology and develop business cases to support commercial implementation. The candidate will develop multivariate models to improve the production of selected proteins and support real time release initiatives.
