About The Position

- The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting clients in managing mental health challenges, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions to promote mental well-being and recovery.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
  • Previous experience in case management and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Proficient in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and gather relevant information about clients' mental health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with licensed therapists.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support to clients.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional development and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions and professional activities.
