About The Position
The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of: Middle School Girls Basketball Coach Coaching Description: Pleasant Hill Middle School is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for the 2026-27 season. The successful candidate at Pleasant Hill Middle School for this position will� Present and maintain a high level of professionalism as an educational leader and assistant coach while demonstrating an exemplary level of integrity within the program. Have basketball coaching experience Be proficient in methods of instruction involving basketball skills Be an educator within the Pleasant Hill School District - preferred Meet MSHSAA Assistant Coaching Requirements according to the guidelines presented in the MSHSAA handbook (sec 3.1) Be certified as a substitute teacher and must have completed 60 credit hours from an accredited institution. Requirements
- Have basketball coaching experience
- Be proficient in methods of instruction involving basketball skills

Responsibilities
- Coaching middle school girls basketball as assigned assisting with all players within the program
- Assist in program events and practices (items include scoring/scouting games, tournament assistance and event set-up)
- Assist in planning, organizing and operating efficient practices
- Assist with the preparation middle school basketball events (home & away)
- Attend and assist off-season workouts, camps and activities as deemed necessary by the program's head coach
- Be able to effectively communicate with students/athletes regarding their progress, performance and critical needs to improve
- Be able to effectively communicate with parents
