MRO Inventory Control & Procurement Analyst

About The Position

Shape the flow of parts that keep our operations running Step into a role where you own inventory accuracy and the movement of repair parts from dock to technician. Your day begins with a quick scan of stock health, tackling cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies. From there, you’ll process repairs for stock, stage and store materials, time-stamp incoming repair items, pull components, and hand off parts so technicians can complete repairs without delay. What you’ll do Safeguard inventory accuracy and restocking practices; investigate and resolve mismatches and exceptions. Manage purchasing activity end-to-end: create and process requisitions, enter orders in the tracking system, receive POs, stock items, and maintain complete, current records. Monitor stock levels and parts demand; recommend min/max and reorder point changes to optimize availability and cash use. Expedite backorders and late shipments; follow up diligently on past-due orders to reduce PO and invoice discrepancies. Process, store, and deliver repair parts; time-stamp and route components for service work. Maintain cross-references for parts substitution and alternates; track and update nonconforming components through resolution. Control vendor-supplied materials against department budgets; partner with managers and supervisors to keep spend in line. Support semi-annual physical inventory with Accounting and external auditors to validate counts and system accuracy. Source and assess vendors for plant-level services; file OEM warranty claims to replace defective parts. Run a structured cost-reduction program and report outcomes to department leadership. Assist Customer Service and Operations with system-based parts transactions and issue resolution. Champion our Service/Quality initiatives—measure process performance, improve workflows, complete required quality courses, and live our Core Values and safety practices. Pursue training that builds purchasing professionalism and develops supervisory/management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience/technical schooling).
  • Comfort reading concise instructions and correspondence; can draft clear, simple communications.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Strong numeracy: work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar charts.
  • Practical problem-solving—follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and handle several concrete variables in standard situations.
  • Team-first mindset, excellent organization, self-direction, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with peers, customers, and leaders.
