About The Position

Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, WaterFurnace designs and manufactures ultra-efficient, renewable-energy comfort products that provide heating, cooling and potable hot water solutions for use in both homes and commercial buildings. We employ more than 360 people in R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales roles across the US and Canada. For almost four decades, our Geothermal Heat Pumps, Water Source Heat Pumps, and Heat Recovery Chillers have been reducing energy usage consumption and increasing comfort in buildings around the world. The MRO Buyer is responsible for all non-inventory-related purchases, building and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating costing structures, and developing supplier agreements in accordance with the functional stakeholders at WaterFurnace. In addition, MRO Buyer manages the WaterFurnace Drop Ship Program to support customer needs.

Requirements

High School education
2+ years of Supply Chain or Materials Management experience required
Skilled in use of planning logic (e.g. MRP, advanced planning systems), MS Office required
High attention to detail
Collaboration skills
Problem solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

MRO Purchase Requisitions
Enter and send purchase orders for approved purchase requests
Monitor non-inventory MRO keepstock items and order accordingly
Ensure supplier delivery commitments are met
Set up new suppliers for Purchase Request orders, as needed
Manage the Drop Ship program
Process purchase orders through Drop Ship PO suggestions
Monitor existing drop ship purchase orders for potential changes
Resolve invoices price and quantity discrepancies for Drop Ship Pos
Set up new drop ship parts in accordance with sales departmental needs
Manage daily and weekly activities with suppliers to ensure excellent service to our customers
Monitor supplier performance and proactively escalate any concerns to the Purchasing team
Lead supply chain related projects.
Collaborate with suppliers on expected demand requirements
Compile and distribute reports at the prescribed schedule
Provide coverage for the front desk as needed
