About The Position

Join our team as an MRO Buyer and play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring uninterrupted operational readiness by securing quality products and services at optimal cost, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with corporate policies and SOX requirements. Requirements

  • A four-year degree in a related field and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and cost management strategies required.
  • Experience and good working knowledge of SAP or other MRP systems required.
  • MS Office proficiency required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across maintenance, engineering, and finance functions.
  • Detail orientation with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all MRO vendors, including selection, evaluation, contract, and price negotiations.
  • Generate, manage, and track capital expenditure requests for the Maintenance, Tooling, and AME areas.
  • Generate all MRO requisitions and purchase orders for Maintenance, Tooling, and AME areas.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Review purchases regularly for cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
  • Arrange technical service calls and coordinate repair activities with vendors.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, including vendor-managed stock levels.
  • Coordinate with receiving and accounting teams to reconcile deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and process returns.
  • Arrange special shipping for urgent or oversized items.
  • Maintain historical purchasing records, filing systems, and compliance documentation.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry in work order systems and maintain related spreadsheets and files.
  • Complete financial analysis and trend reports to support cost tracking and departmental planning.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports and dashboards reflecting MRO spend and supplier performance.
  • Support the maintenance coordinator and technical services manager in day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Manage record keeping related to all compliance activities, including inspections, audits, etc.
  • Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations, including SOX requirements.

  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
