MRI Technologist (Full Time) - Annex
About The Position
Join the mission of Improving Lives as a MRI Technologist at Jefferson Health, the second largest employer in Philadelphia and the largest health system in the Philadelphia region with over 42,000 employees. The MRI Technologist operates MRI imaging equipment under the supervision of a Radiologist to produce diagnostic images of the body. This position may be eligible for conversion to a Trainee role, which is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and requires an on-the-job training agreement. All necessary certifications must be obtained according to department training requirements, with failure to comply potentially leading to termination. Requirements
- 1-3 months experience and/or training required
- Satisfactory formal training in an approved program
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- All required certifications must be obtained in accordance with the department’s training program requirements
Responsibilities
- Performs patient imaging and remains current with MRI imaging procedures & protocols.
- Reviews check-in documents for accurate patient medical histories.
- Provides basic patient care services as required.
- Under the supervision of the Radiologist, the MRI Technologist operates MRI imaging equipment in order to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
