About The Position

Under the general direction of the department leadership, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. The MRI Technologist will assume responsibility and accountability for a designated area. The Technologist operates MRI equipment, prepares and administers contrast media, performs intravenous access, prepares MRI room for patient, monitors and stocks supplies. The MRI Technologist is responsible for quality control and monitoring equipment statuses. The MRI Technologist is responsible for adhering to the Enloe Health Core Values, ARRT Standard of Ethics, and the policies and procedures of the designated area. The MRI Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Health and the Imaging Department.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT
  • Current ARRT Advanced Level MRI Certification (department tracks)
  • Current Radiographic Contrast Media and Venipuncture Certification (department tracks)
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, patient care, positioning, principles of quality assurance, cross-sectional anatomy and specialized techniques as required for a MRI Technologist.
  • Must be intelligent and self motivated.
  • Must demonstrate abilities consistent with Planetree and person-centered care.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving techniques are required.
  • Must have the ability to motivate, delegate and analyze information.
  • Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience as a MRI Technologist
  • Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)
