About The Position

DMS Health Technologies, with 50 years of experience, is a leader in delivering quality medical imaging care and service. The company is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to work 4 days a week in Minnesota. The role involves extensive travel, with routes subject to change based on business needs. Specific weekly routes include locations like White Earth, Warren, Hallock, Bagley, Mahnomen, and Baudette, MN. Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC proficiency to access job related internet websites, review on-line documentation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently.
  • The ability to follow instructions in stressful environments.
  • Superb bedside manner and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • ARRT certification.
  • CPR certified.
  • Mandatory education provided by DMS.
  • State licensure if required.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination, titer, or declination.
  • Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination, titer, or declination.
  • Hepatitis B Series vaccination, titer, or declination.
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccination, titer, or declination.
  • Annual Influenza vaccine.
  • COVID-19 vaccination, if required by facility policy.
  • Tuberculosis screening (annual or per facility guidelines).
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Operating magnetic resonance imaging machines and creating diagnostic images of patients according to their physicians’ instructions.
  • Documenting patients' health histories, preparing them for scans, and keeping them relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.
  • Following the orders of the referring physician and protocols and administering prescribed medications.
  • Using knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
  • Transferring images and verifying the images and patient information arrived correctly.
  • Complying with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods, making suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety, promptly correcting or reporting safety hazards or unsafe conditions, promptly reporting injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment, and by participating in safety processes such as safety committee, safety inspections, etc.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
