About The Position

St. Mary's Medical Center seeks a full-time MRI Technologist. The MRI Tech, under the direction of the Supervising Technologist with clinical supervision from the MRI Medical Director, performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. This role involves performing a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative. The technologist will also assume responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology
• Holder of a valid and current: Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or be registry eligible for Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT MRI) or be registry eligible for MRI Technologist (ARRT)
• Licensed in MRI or MRI apprentice license as required by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners
• Obtain full MRI state licensure (ARRT MRI certification) within one year of hire
• Technical proficiency
• Ability to communicate with superiors and subordinates
• Uses a variety of equipment and mechanical accessories
• Uses automatic film processing units
• BLS required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor degree preferred
• Formal and/or on-the-job training in magnetic resonance imaging is highly desirable
• Previous work experience as MRI Technologist desired
