About The Position

St. Mary's Medical Center seeks a full-time MRI Technologist. The MRI Tech, under the direction of the Supervising Technologist with clinical supervision from the MRI Medical Director, performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative. Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology.
• Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or be registry eligible for Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT MRI) or be registry eligible for MRI Technologist (ARRT).
• Licensed in MRI or MRI apprentice license as required by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners.
• Within one year of hire full MRI state licensure (ARRT MRI certification) must be obtained.
• BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Formal and/or on-the-job training in magnetic resonance imaging is highly desirable.
• Previous work experience as MRI Technologist desired but not absolutely necessary.
