About The Position

Ability to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures with an understanding of imaging techniques, quality assurance testing and recording, reconstruction and calibration as required across the Palomar Health district. Knowledge and ability of digital processing with image transfer and storage on PACS. Assists physicians, interprets orders, and explains procedures to nursing staff, patients, and families. Possess a thorough knowledge of FDA MR standards and exercise their application by regulating all persons who may enter the magnetic field with regard to ferrous objects, cardiac pacemakers, as well as any other MR unsafe objects, implants, or conditions. Ability to possess a thorough understanding of the department operations in order to assist non-technical staff in processing paperwork, films, and expediting patient transportation. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
  • Minimum Experience: 2 - 5 years
  • Required Certification: IV certification
  • American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
  • Required License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in Allied Health
  • Preferred Experience: 5+ years
  • Preferred Certification: Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R)
  • Preferred License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(MR)
