MRI Safety Aide
About The Position
The position of MR Safety Aide performs monitoring and safety checks to gain MRI safety compliance. This individual performs a variety of non technical functions to assist the staff in MRI including MRI technologists, nurses, and anesthesia personnel. New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent and
- Jobs requiring direct patient care, customer service, industrial safety.
- BLS certification Required 30 Days
Responsibilities
- The primary role of the MRI safety aide is that of ?gatekeeper?, enforcing compliance of MRI safety policies and procedures including ferro free dress attire and assisting with written, verbal, and ferromagnetic screening.
- The MRI safety aide helps prepare patients for MRI exams.
- The MRI safety aide assists the technologist with the safe transfer of MR patients.
- The MR safety aide assists in scanning employees/visitors screening forms into Image Now.
- The MRI safety aide assists with timely turnover of the MRI room.
