This is a public relations position, providing general information and assistance to visitors at Antioch Park, Meadowbrook Park, and Ernie Miller Nature Center. Park Safety Aide’s also conduct bicycle patrols on the Gary Haller Streamway Trail System (Mill Creek), Kill Creek Park, Lexington Lake and the Coffee Creek Streamway from Heritage Park. Park Safety Aides assist the Park Police by taking non-criminal reports, observing for any possible criminal activity, and contacting park visitors observed committing park ordinance violations to seek voluntary compliance. Park Safety Aides also assist Park Police Officers with special events as needed, including but not limited to triathlons, fun runs, festivals, and other JCPRD-sponsored events.
