About The Position
Join Our Team as a Mower Operator, Seasonal! Do you love working outdoors and keeping parks beautiful? Are you ready to make a difference in your community? Dundee Township Park District is looking for Mower Operators to help maintain our parks, ensuring they are clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors! What You’ll Do As a Mower Operator, Seasonal, you’ll: Operate commercial zero-turn, stand-on, and large-area mowers to maintain District turf and green spaces. Safely drive trucks and trailers to transport equipment between park locations. Perform precision mowing, string trimming, and daily equipment care/maintenance. Assist with general landscaping tasks, including planting, mulching, and debris removal. Follow all safety policies and use required PPE. Help maintain high-quality park standards for visitors. Who You Are You’re a hardworking and reliable team player with: A passion for working outdoors and maintaining public spaces. Experience with groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management (preferred but not required). Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as zero-turn mowers, tractors, and trimmers. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. A commitment to safety and attention to detail. Schedule This is a seasonal, non-exempt position. Days and times may be flexible depending on candidate availability. Season runs approximately mid-March through the end of November. Work hours determined at hire; a set schedule may be available. Weekend or holiday work may be required.
